Testing a web page with a widget

Follow these steps to test a web page with a floating or embedded widget.

Prerequisites: Before performing this task, you should have a web page containing a floating widget. See Adding a widget to a web page.

About this task: This procedure shows how to test an HTML page that contains a widget. The example shows a floating widget.

Steps:

  1. Save the HTML file and open it in a web browser.

    You should see a widget that is connected to your Bold360 AI knowledge base. You should be able to type questions that match topics in your knowledge base. For example, the knowledge base used below has a "how do I get help" topic.

  2. Refresh the page in your browser as needed.
  3. For floating widgets in Conversational mode, in addition to refreshing the page, type RESET to restart the conversation using your latest changes.
  4. If the pages doesn't behave as expected or you want more information, open your browser's Developer Tools. Use the Console tab to view any syntax errors, warnings, or messages.
